Mikayla Zaitz

Mikayla started her dance career at 4 years old at Tanya’s Dance Center. She continued following her passion at Katherine’s Academy of Dance where she trained in Ballet, Jazz, Point, Tap, Lyrical, and Contemporary where she also substitute taught classes. She continued to pursue dance at Ranch Buena Vista High School where she performed and trained on the Maroon Magic dance team. Following High School she trained for 3 years at MiraCosta College in Jazz, Modern, and Ballet. Mikayla started volunteering and the boys and girls club where she started up a dance program. She has since been hired as staff and has enjoyed almost two years of teaching and developing a dance program for boys and girls of all ages at the club. She absolutely loves working with children and watching them grow.

In her free time, Mikayla enjoys photography and taking evening Heels and Latin dance classes at Shadowridge Dance Center. Mikayla is currently studying at California State San Marcos with the goal of becoming an Occupational Therapist. She hopes she can one day combine her love of children and dance to heal others through movement therapy.
